Delivering Benefits to Residents’ Doors
In the Philippines, over 40 million authentications have been completed on the National ID system as of Dec 2024, allowing the government to provide essential services to people across remote areas and islands. Through these authentications, poverty alleviation programmes such as 4Ps have become more efficient, effective, and accessible – delivering crucial services to residents wherever they are.
The Value of Identity for All
According to a UNHCR publication in May 2024, 77,000 refugees and asylum-seekers in Addis Ababa were gradually brought into the MOSIP-based Fayda ID system through a landmark initiative led by UNHCR and the Ethiopian government. The Fayda (meaning ‘value’ in Amharic) ID allows registered individuals to open bank accounts, enrol in schools, obtain business permits, and access key services such as health care.
Building Climate Resilience with MOSIP
MOSIP is facilitating the rapid deployment of digital ID and G2P systems in Zambia to support emergency drought relief targeting 92,515 affected households across 14 districts. Using MOSIP’s eSignet module and an integration with OpenG2P, the project is working with the Smart Zambia Institute to onboard beneficiaries from existing databases, and effect digital cash transfers with transparency, speed, and accuracy.
